    Tooth Colored Fillings
A natural look as Mother Nature intended. That’s the beauty of tooth colored fillings. Say good-buy to metal or amalgam fillings and say hello to a more beautiful smile.

Composite resin fillings or tooth colored fillings, improve every year. They have become more naturally aesthetic and durable and have become a much more desirable choice when restoring a tooth. State-of-the-art materials and bonding agents have allowed us to improve your looks and decrease your sensitivity.

At Factor Dental, we have not used silver/mercury fillings since 2004.

To learn more about composite/tooth colored fillings, please contact us.

    Implant Restorations
At Factor Dental, Dr. Factor restores implants once they have been surgically implanted in bone. Dr Factor examines his patients and refers them to trusted surgeons. Once implanted, we restore them with crowns, bridges and/or dentures.

To learn more about any phase of implants, please contact us.

    Root Canal Therapy
Root canals are actually good news. It usually means your tooth can be saved instead of being extracted.

Your comfort is at the forefront of everything we do, including Root Canal Therapy. Endodontics or the treatment of the pulp within the canal of the tooth is required when it becomes inflamed or infected. Sometimes a root canal is necessary when a tooth just won’t stop hurting.

Dr. Factor will make every effort to ensure that your root canal treatment is as pleasant and pain free as possible.

To learn more about Root Canal Therapy, please contact us.

    Sports Dentistry
At Factor Dental, we help athletes protect their mouths and teeth by providing properly fitted custom mouth guards. Dr. Factor examines the patient and provides regular dental care as well as fabricating the proper protection against possible trauma.

We also make sure to discuss with the athletes, as well as all patients, the dangerous negative effects caused by the use of chewable tobacco products.

    Bridges
When one or more teeth are missing in a dental arch, and the surrounding teeth are solid, a bridge may be fabricated and cemented to the adjacent teeth. A cemented bridge with porcelain, when done properly by a skilled dentist like Dr. Factor, will be comfortable, quick, and aesthetically pleasing. These bridges are very strong and should provide years of valuable service to patients.

There are other ways to replace missing teeth. You may opt for removable dentures or implants. It is important that missing teeth be replaced before other problems occur. Teeth may shift positions, over erupt, tip, become periodontally involved or you may develop TMJ symptoms.

Having a thorough examination with Dr. Factor at Factor Dental, allows us to develop treatment options for your individual needs.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss any questions you may have.

    Crowns
Crowns are a wonderful and effective way to repair and strengthen badly damaged teeth. Crowns are also recommended when a tooth has had a root canal.

Crowns may vary from all “metal” to all “porcelain”. An examination by Dr. Factor will determine which one is best for your condition.

Our advance techniques for crowns and bridges will provide you with a healthier and more beautiful smile.

    Non-Surgical Gum Treatment
Since Dr Factor is concerned with premature loss of adult teeth, we treat the most common cause; periodontal disease and we strive to provide early care and education to our patients. Early and Moderate Periodontal disease may be treated by root planning and deep scaling of the gingival tissue and may also be followed by Arestin Antibiotic therapy. Dental plaque has been identified and shares a common description as the plaque associated with coronary artery blockage. Removal of this plaque from teeth becomes important in helping to prevent heart problems as well as tooth retention.

Arestin therapy, used by Factor Dental for many years, has become a useful adjunct in the treatment of periodontal disease. When placed in the gingival pockets around affected teeth, it has been showed to eliminate these pockets and decrease inflammation.

To learn more about periodontal therapy and the use of Arestin, please contact us.

    Removable Dentures
One of the nicest compliments Dr. Factor receives is when a patient tells him that not only does their dentures fit comfortably and they can eat better, but that their friends and family think they look years younger, and that they don’t even notice they are wearing dentures. A beautiful smile is contagious.

Dentures may be used to replace all the missing teeth in one arch with a complete or full denture. One or more missing teeth in one arch may be replaced with a partial denture.

Materials vary as well as types of dentures. Dr. Factor offers several options in the fabrication of the dentures at Factor Dental. A thorough examination along with a discussion of the options is necessary before any work is started.

Contact us today to learn more.

    Emergency Services
Dr. Factor takes pride in providing emergency services to his patients. Caring for them in a time of need with first class service is of the utmost importance to us at Factor Dental.

During regular office hours, we make every attempt to fit emergencies into our schedule.
During off hours there is an emergency number provided to reach Dr. Factor. In the event that Dr. Factor is unavailable, the number for a covering dentist is provided.

Some of the most common dental emergency situations include:
    -Broken Teeth
    -Trauma to teeth and jaw
    -Abscessed teeth
    -Broken or lost crowns
    -Broken or lost dentures
    -Infection

    Extractions
Prior to the removal of any tooth, Dr. Factor takes the time to explain and discuss with his patients the options for its replacement. He also discusses the options for keeping the tooth. Extractions become necessary when a tooth has been damaged by decay or fracture, is unsuitable for a root canal, and the damage prohibits the tooth from being repaired.

Patient comfort is paramount at Factor Dental, as well as knowledge and understanding of available treatments.

Please call the office to discuss any special needs you may have.

Please contact us to learn more.

    Intra-Oral Photography
Radiographs or x-rays are difficult for the untrained eye to understand. Dr. Factor will show and explain them to the patients or parents as part of the treatment discussion. We have found that one photo is worth more than a thousand x-rays. With the intra-oral camera, we can show a patient’s cavity, broken filling, broken tooth, bad crown, or gingival problem in a much clearer manner.

The images can be viewed on a screen in front of the patient as Dr. Factor talks to them, or the photo may be viewed at a later time. At Factor Dental, before and after photos are taken for cosmetic procedures as well.

Contact us for any further information.

    Invisalign
Straightening your teeth without braces is now possible with Invisalign. Dr. Factor will determine with x-rays, models, photos, and impressions of your teeth, if you are a candidate for Invisalign treatment.

Invisalign is a series of clear, almost totally undetectable aligners that are warn all night and day to move your teeth. They are removed only for eating and drinking certain beverages that might stain the aligners. They must also be removed to brush your teeth.

You can have a beautiful smile without those ugly wires.

Please contact us to discuss Invisalign.

    Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are the best that modern cosmetic dentistry offers. They are beautiful, healthy and natural, and involve less removal of tooth structure than crowns. Custom fitted and bonded to your teeth, they can change a smile and a whole outlook on life in a matter of days.

At Factor Dental, Dr. Factor uses a variety of veneers depending on the individuals needs. Veneers are used to repair chipped, broken, badly stained, and discolored teeth or used just to give you the smile you never thought you could have.

Please contact us to discuss porcelain veneers.

    Teeth Whitening or Bleaching
Since we are referring to teeth and not socks, Dr. Factor prefers to use the term Teeth Whitening. We do use bleach, but not Clorox!

There are several options for teeth whitening depending on the individual patient’s needs and time requirements. We always require that teeth be recently cleaned of all tartar and plaque so we are not whitening the tartar but just the teeth.

Please contact us for more information about Teeth Whitening.

    Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer is the 6th most common cancer in men and the 14th most common cancer in women. Everyday, we are on the forefront of the fight against oral cancer. Today, it is easier than ever to detect oral cancer early. We have the skills and the tools to ensure that early signs of cancer and pre-cancerous conditions are identified.

At Factor Dental we recommend regular dental check-ups, including an examination of the entire mouth because these steps are essential in the early detection of cancerous and pre-cancerous conditions. Dr. Factor can determine whether or not you may have very small, but dangerous, oral spots or sores that you may not be aware of.

Please contact us if you need more information on oral cancer screenings.
